yayayayayayayayayayayayayayaya!

My twilight sparkle hair is now real wahooohhh! and only mildly crispy hair ;_;

It was a bit of a faff to try and get it all done though. I last minute crammed it in since I've got work tomorrow. Turns out that was a teeny bit of a mistake but it worked out mostly so hey-ho.

My hair was still veryyyy much neon green and bright blue before i started the colour removing process... Crazy enough, those are apparently the two hardest colours to remove from your hair?! lol.

I was doing a buttttttt ton of research to try and figure out the best way to remove the colours as much as possible and I ended up settling on clarifying shampoo and vitamin c tablets? I've never done it before and I also had neither of those things, so I had to book it up to the pharmacy. (soooo awesome having the closest shops being 30 seconds away instead of a bajillion miles away)

Anyways, managed to get those, although it was 7 pounds?!? Hello? Now I'm broke and have dry hair.... only for it to lowkey not even work? It stank up the room, and dripped down my back for an hour, and it only semi stripped out some colour? but I honestly couldn't tell you the difference. Put on a hair mask to try and save it a little but lordyyyy was my hair crunchyyyy .

Crispy ahh hair :p

My then second genius plan was to then do a bleach wash over that since i needed to do my roots anyways? HELP ME IM DUMB!!!!!!

Absolutely double fried my hair good lorddddddd.

And the kicker, IT DIDNT WORK AGAIN!!!!!. The trusty bleach lied to me ):

Apparently on reflection, and a bit more research, it is super not advised to do that since the hair follicles are already forced open from the vitamin c and it can just fry your hair and make it break? cant wait to be bald...

The last and final attempt was a pink hair dye wash over the green to try and neutralise it. Colour wheel and all that innit.

It did work tbf... just about the only thing that did though. It made it a weird grey-silver colour and it looked pretty cool. And thank gawddd it did work because I don't think it would have come out as nicely if it didn't.

The pink came out a bit darker where it was dyed over the blue and grey bits, but it blends super nicely down the hair and looks intentional so we are just gonna roll with it.

Deffo gonna have to invest in a deep conditioning hair mask though.. and a really really good leave in conditioner .·°՞(˃ ᗝ ˂)՞°·.

Halloween Costume planning!!!

Right, lets talk Halloween.

Ive known what i want to dress up as now for weeks but i have notttt got my ass in gear yet for actually executing the outfit.

I think I can make most of it work with what I already have but I am in desperate need of a charity shop day so i can go and get the last few bits. Not sure when I'm fitting that in around work this week but we will see...

Anyways, now for the costume idea reveal!!!!!

This year, my girlfriend and i are gonna go as ....

Mordecai and Twilight Sparkle! LOLL.

She kinda had no input in this one besides agreeing to be Mordecai when i said i wanted to dress up as the Airplanes meme oops.

We were gonna dress up with two of our other housemates and do a joint costume but we couldn't really settle on any one thing that wasn't mega weenie ehe. My idea of halloween is also a lot more crafty and considered high effort for some of these guys :p my baddddd. But also some of the suggestions being thrown around was stuff like being Catan resources... as in Catan the boardgame... Like bro...XD

I think one of my housemates is gonna be an Enderman from Minecraft, and the other is gonna be a cat meme? They have not decided yet lmao.

On that note, Hayley Williams performed airplanes for the first time the other day on her new tour, and I'm prayingggg she plays it live when we see her next year lmao!

Anyways, my girlfriend and I have matched for the last few years with our costumes, doing Beetlejuice and Lydia a few years back, Phineas and Ferb, Five Nights at Freddys (we were Foxy and Marionette) with some of our friends previously too, ect ect.

We are also very crafty and artsy people so we are so down to make all of the costume components to make it cheaper and cooler than everyones store bought costumes ;P

Between us, we already have most of the stuff we need I think, I just need to somehow source a unicorn horn, and maybe a light blue shirt for me? And a blue cap, some foam etc for my girlfriends. I think I can make some leg warmers real quick from a pink and purple shirt if I can find one in the charity shop, but I can lowkey make it work if not since I've got some white leg warmers knocking about somewhere that I could dye.

I also need the hairrrrr...but Im kinda due a hair dye refresh soon as my hair is pretty faded now anywayssssss.... so this is gonna be my excuse to buy more hair dye. YAYAYAYAYA

I'm a little scared on how I'm gonna get this last bit of green out, but the leftover blue and purple (thats now kinda grey ;_; ) will be fine to dye over since twilight sparkles hair is blue, pink and purple anyways.

I probs wont do it fully accurate either as Its not just for halloween and it will be on my head for months lol. Im thinking chunky highlights in two sections so the lower half and upper half of my hair blend together with different colours, so it looks more cool, complicated and high effort than it actually is XD

You know what, in looking for images as examples of the hair, I've just found out it has an actual name. Pinwheel hair!!! Who knew!?

Okay, so pinwheel hair is what I'm kinda thinking! It looks super cute and it'll be way easier than the gradient ive got going on at the minute. Im sure my girlfriend will be happy for her arms to ache less this time! ):

Ive got work tomorrow, but I might sneak off on Tuesday to do a little bit of charity shopping and hair dye shopping...maybe ill even start bleaching my hair if i can be bothered hmmm... i probably do need to be bothered... ehhhh?

Helloooooo! Recently, I keep seeing the trend of people posting the top 9 things that shaped them as a person, be it films, games, tv shows, anime... so on and so on. I love seeing what people connected to when they were growing up and what stuck with them into adulthood.

I keep messing around and making some but I really am just too indecisive lol. I've made a few for old games I used to be OBSESSEDDDD with and albums that I love, so maybe ill get around to posting those, but for now, the anime that I grew up with as a kid! BOOM!!

I really havent been watching too many new animes recently, and I feel like I need to reconnect with some of the newer shows coming out. Im watching Steel Ball Run when it comes out, as its currently on weekly release, but I genuinely think the last thing I was watching on release was the last Attack on Titan season? Or maybe Chainsaw Man? But those were both a good few years ago now. Thats madness.

There are deffo some shows im excited for though! Fool Night, The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All, and DemVAMPS are all shows coming out soon-ish so imma definitely try to keep up to date with some of those when they get released.

I want to catch up on some classics too at some point. It's been years since ive rewatched shows like Evangelion or Cowboy Bebop, so maybe it's time for a little rewatch of those too? Hmm.

If anyone has any anime recs, let me know! Im craving a new show lol.

Building a paper clay shelf yay!!

⋆⋆⋆ Paper Clay Shelf Part 1 ⋆⋆⋆

Recently, i've been working on making a cardboard shelf.

And It's not as scary or unstable as it sounds!!! Promise!

I saw a lady called @slugdealerrr on Instagram making a shelf using cardboard and paper clay and i thought it was soooo cool!!! she was shredding up paper and mixing it up to make paste, that she was then applying to a cardboard structure to make furniture!

Now, i need a shelf badddddddd, and I've got nowhere to pop any of my stuff. My poor figures, books, movies etc, they're all just strewn all over the outer sections of my room in precariously balanced towers... and with just moving to a new house, i deffo have a lottttt of paper and cardboard going spare.

I've been working on it slowly over the last month or so, and its deffo a slow process, especially because i chose to make a GIANTTTT shelf as my first piece oops ˙◠˙ Buttt its gonna look like one of those old littlest pet shop houses in the end hopefully, so the effort will be worth it.

I've been primarily using cardboard since that's what i have a surplus of, and shredding that into a random mystery bucket i found on the street which has proven to be incredibly useful :P

I then pour hot water all over the cardboard until it's all submerged in the bucket and leave it to soak for 24-48h.

Once its all soaked, i decant the cardboard in small amounts into a seperate bowl and use a hand blender to blend it into a pulp, then straining it through a tea towel to squeeze all of the water out.

The paper clay! I use a washing up glove so it doesnt cement itself to my hand because it can get sticky /:

I then throw this all back into the empty bucket and mix in a wholeeee bunch of random stuff lol. I use PVA glue, Wall Filler, Salt, Vinegar, Cinnamon etc etc. I kinda just eyeball it but i mix these together with the cardboard pulp until the texture resembles clay. I keep this in the tub and cover it with clingfilm until i need it!!!

The clay should last for a week or so, but if i actually made it airtight, it would probably last longer lol.

The vinegar, salt and cinnamon are all to prevent it going bad and evil. Anti-fungal and bacterial ingredients! The glue and filler are used for structural integrity and binding it all together.

I've then been moulding this 'clay' onto my shelf bit by bit, and when it dries, which takes a few days to fully solidify, it is super duper strong and rigid! And it smells of yummy cinnamon ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧

Although... since my shelf is getting quite big now, it's also getting heavier and heavier )))))))):

My progress on the shelf so far! Ive been adding clay to some of the boxes that arent attached yet to speed up the process and make it stronger!

I'm about halfway-ishhh with it, but i've really got into the flow of the process of making the paper clay and how to make the structure as strong as possible.

I probably need to go to a hardware store soon so i can choose some colours to paint it. Im thinking some combo of baby pink, light yellow, and brown? Probably spotty or something adjacent. Or maybe brown with pink and yellow interiors for the boxes? I need to sketch a few plans out i think.

Once i finish this shelf, i really want to work on some sort of jewellery stand for all my necklaces and bracelets, as well as some smaller shelves to pop around on other surfaces in my room? Just to make my room a bit more interesting, and DOUBLE because i'm not allowed to put stuff on my wall with this new house contract... (⩌_⩌)

⋆⋆⋆ October Movie Watchlist!!! ⋆⋆⋆

It's getting colder, and the leaves are starting to fall! Conkers are falling on the ground and being collected as my personal spider wards for my room. I can almost taste the hot chocolate on a rainy day with a silly autumn movie...

I've not really been that much of a movie fan for a lot of my life. I used to love movies like the classic Barbie ones or all of the Disney princess movies when i was a kid, but it's not really a phase I ever got into when i was a teenager or adult. I've always been the type of person to just watch long TV shows, and would literally only watch maybe 5 movies a year max?

I've been pushing myself to get more into movies recently, and keeping a little movie diary on letterboxd has deffo helped with that. Its so fun to look back and see what ive watched over the last 6 months, especially when i'm so bad at consistently keeping a journal for anything else otherwise.

Needless to say, i've been catching up with a lot of the classic movie-bro movies, and filling in my movie knowledge gap. Making little lists of movies i want to watch in a certain month or timeframe has been helping a lot with that, because lowkey... i'll forget to watch anything otherwise. Thank gawdddd my housemates are movie lovers!

I thought i may as well put my monthly to-watch list on here, and if anyone has any recommendations, throw them my way!!

• Pulp Fiction --> One such 'classic' that i've not seen.


• Resident Evil --> Cinema pass coming in clutch. Going to see this tomorrow!!

• Paprika --> I watched half of this last month but the wifi died and i never finished it. Wicked so far though!


• Nightmare On Elm Street --> I only watched this movie for the first time this year, but i'm excited to watch this closer to halloween!


• Fried Green Tomatoes --> Lesbians :P


• Primetime --> Also probs ganna try see this in the cinema this month!


• Akira --> I've been meaning to watch this for years, it's actually silly now. This month is the month!!


• Breaking Dawn 1 + 2 (twilight saga) --> I've been making my housemate watch all of the movies with me so he understands my references. i think he likes it so far?

• Uptown Girls --> I loveeee this movie! If it gets super dark and rainy one day this month, this movie is instantly going on the TV.
